I have had this beautiful generous traditional Mongolian ger(yurt) with a diameter of 7 m and 30 cm for almost 20 years. It stands on a solid foundation on the grounds of our association among the oaks with beautiful views over the colissen landscape. In the summer these oaks give just enough shade and the occasional nice summer breeze blows. There is a kitchenette inside with hot and cold water and 2 good coolers, a mobile toilet inside and a dry toilet outside as well as an outdoor shower for summer. A large 210cm x 160cm bed with a full latex mattress and a thick futon as a topper sleeps great. There are also 2 or 3 stretchers with good mattresses. There is 230V available from the solar panels sufficient for light and charging computer or phone. A desk and a generous dining table. The car comes to 10m from the yurt and there are further parking spaces. Our clubhouse approx 150m has a washer, dryer, large shower, electricity, internet, kitchen, freezer etc.
Nature and surroundings
The yurt stands on its own grounds of 6ha on the border of Aveyron and Tarn et Garonne. This hilly farming landscape lends itself to walking and cycling. Almost undiscovered by tourism, it is very quiet here but in the villages and towns nearby such as Najac, Cordes sur ciel, St. Antonin, Caylus, Bruniquel etc. there are always lots of festivities during the summer. From the site you can descend directly into the valley of the stream "la Baye" and there you will enter another fierce world left to nature. The valley was always a refuge in times of war and for the Cathars. You imagine yourself in a set of 'lord of the rings' there. By car you can drive from the yurt in 10 minutes to a small reservoir of about 50 x 120m. This is a fantastic natural pool for swimming enthusiasts or the dog. The river Aveyron is close by. You can also kayak here.
