In the 18th century this place was founded by monks who lived together in the big house. They lived from breeding animals (horses and cows) and for that they built the shelters that are now arranged as 2 and 4 person gites. A cozy and charmingly decorated 2 person studio/gite under the beams, which you reach via a wooden staircase to the 1st floor. There are three rooms under the sloping roof with skylights; a sitting room, a kitchen/dining room and a bedroom/bathroom. The bathroom has a glass freestanding shower cubicle, as well as a bathtub on legs, from which you look at the stars through the skylight. There is a double bed and the furnishings are functionally simple. There is an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, Senseo, kettle. The terrace is accessible via the common entrance. Soccer field and volleyball net available. The entire Domaine can also be booked as group accommodation, for 18-20 people, consisting of 5 gites.

In the forests surrounding the Domaine are many hiking, cycling and mountain biking routes. (110 km of trails) Right behind the Domaine passes the GR 137 (a long distance hiking trail of 52 km from Autun to Nolay). The waterfall (100 meters walk from the Domaine) is also worth a visit. About 1.5 kilometers away on a lake is the village of Saint Sernin du Bois. Here daily shopping can be done at the small supermarket, the boulanger and boucher. There is also a post office and the Haute Cuisine Restaurant 'Du Chateau' of chef Laurent Bouthenet. The lake is the region's drinking water supply. 10 min away are the large stores in Le Creusot, and the nearest large town is Autun (19 km). Autun is a beautiful place with a rich history.
