Do you like peace and quiet? Then the water mill is the perfect place for that right on the small river Tourtoulloux. Indoors you can relax by the burning wood stove. You can read undisturbed or finally write that book, listen to music, enjoy cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and occasionally enter the sauna. The mill can accommodate five people. The comfortable living and dining room with wood stove and underfloor heating gives access to the balcony overlooking the river. The kitchen is well equipped with all the necessary appliances. On the ground floor is a large bedroom with a double bed and sofa bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Upstairs is a landing with sitting area and a bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with shower and toilet. In the basement are the laundry room and a traditional sauna.
Nature and surroundings
The water mill is located on the small river Tourtouloux also called Le Pic. The river is one of eight rivers in France labeled "Natural River." A place where kingfishers can also be seen. During rainy periods, the river and the waterfall are at their best. In autumn and winter it is dark early here, there is no light pollution so beautiful starry skies can be seen. In the wooded area there is a lot of hiking. You can find mushrooms in the forest and meadow. The Cascade des Jarrauds, a tourist attraction, is within walking distance of the mill. The Lac de Vassivière can be reached within 20 minutes by car.
