Come enjoy special recreation and outdoor living as a couple or alone in our cozy 16m2 recreation pod. The cozy indoor area is fully equipped. A fully equipped kitchenette including refrigerator, microwave, egg cooker, juicer, bathroom, comfortable bed (140x200), cozy bench overlooking sunset and patio doors to the terrace. In addition, you have complete privacy in your own 100m2 pod garden. And if you want to relax and bubble under the stars, book the Jacuzzi for only 50,- per stay (unlimited). This is possible from May 1 to Sept. 30, 2025 Cooking is only allowed outside. There you can bqq-en, on the wood-fired outdoor fireplace with grill and griddle. Do you see yourself getting up the next morning, opening the doors, walk onto the terrace to make plans for another beautiful day, enjoying the birds and the fresh air? Come and enjoy a delicious Podje with us.
Nature and surroundings
Our guests are surrounded by an authentic Frisian landscape of meadows, overlooking the unique unspoiled nature reserve "De Houtwiel" where darkness still really is darkness. Every season again this is a huge attraction for many bird species. Besides all the animal sounds from the "Houtwiel" it is also freely accessible for lovely walks and is easily and directly accessible from the pod. Thanks in part to Nature Reserve the Alde Feanen, the area around Feanwalden is the perfect base for hiking, cycling, or for example, renting a boat. For a wonderful island feeling you can be on the Wadden Islands of Ameland and Schiermonnikoog, just a 25-minute drive from the pod. But if you feel like a pleasant terrace, we have, near the historic town of Dokkum or the capital Leeuwarden. And further discover for yourself all the small picturesque villages in the area. If you go out for dinner in the evening, there is plenty of choice from many cozy restaurants and eateries nearby.
