This brand new cottage was built from a ruin in 2024. Located in the middle of nature, but equipped with all modern amenities, the house - together with a second cottage - on the grounds of almost one hectare, forms an oasis of peace in the Algarve. The nearest neighbors can be found at 100 meters. The cottage has two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom and toilet. The spacious bright living room/kitchen gives a beautiful view of the valley and Mount Picota. The loft offers space to chill for any children traveling with you. The cottage is of course equipped with WIFI and has a size of about 90m2. Outside around the cottage you will find many terraces, each with its own function. Feel free to pick some fruit or vegetables, or relax in one of the many secret sitting areas with chairs or hammocks that you can discover around the house. The view is different in each spot, but always amazing!
Nature and surroundings
Monchique was already discovered and visited by the Romans for its nature, and in particular the healing waters that flow richly from the mountain. The mountain Foia, with over 900 meters the highest point of the Algarve, offers endless hiking and cycling possibilities, paved and unpaved. so racing cyclists can indulge themselves, but also on the MTB or E-MTB you can entertain yourself for days. Casa DeSa is located at 450 meters altitude, 5 minutes from the town of Monchique that offers restaurants, cafes, stores and a supermarket. Still want to get into the hustle and bustle? Monchique is a 25-minute drive from the south coast of the Algarve with endless beaches and fun beach clubs in Portimão and Lagos. Or visit one of the many golf courses. You can also reach the much rougher west coast in less than half an hour, with long empty beaches and small villages perhaps more beautiful than the beaches of Portimão and Lagos.
