Just opened! Very cozy monumental lodge in the Achterhoek between fields and forest where you imagine yourself in the time of yesteryear. It is painted in the colors of yesteryear and has many monumental elements as old stable doors in the living room, the old chimney in the bedroom, the beautiful room with original stone oven. With this you can enjoy your own baked bread or pizza. This 2-3 persons lodge of 81 m2 has a spacious living room, walk-in hall, luxury bathroom, kitchen and bedroom with double bed (210cm long) and next to it a 1p bed. Furthermore, the lodge is equipped with every comfort (underfloor heating through heat pump) and another wood stove, Nespresso machine, induction stove, dual pan airfryer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV and excellent Wifi and you can use the universal charging station. A delicious breakfast can be provided if desired. Also ideal for family/friends to book together with our other luxury Beech lodge (with 4 person sauna and all other comforts).
Nature and surroundings
Our cottage is located in a former Heem and ornamental garden on almost 2 acres of nature with an apple orchard with old varieties, food forest, pools and English climbing roses. The whole is fenced in by old oaks, poplars and beeches. From the location there is plenty of hiking and biking opportunities. Within 25 kilomter you will find the old Hanseatic cities Doesburg and Zutphen and the oldest town Bronckhorst. Vorden with the eight castles route, Castle Ruurlo with Museum Moore and s'-Heerenbergh with Castle Bergh. Or enjoy long walks in Montferland, at Slangenburg Castle, in the Kruisberg Woods or on 't Zand near Ruurlo. It is not for nothing that the Pieterpad runs through Zelhem. Zelhem also has several good restaurants and the liveliest village square in the Achterhoek. Of course there is the city of Doetinchem at 6 km with cinema, theater and even more dining options. For sports enthusiasts, there are many beautiful golf courses, horseback riding opportunities and a water ski slope at Stroombroek.
