This apartment is located on a dirt road 150mtr from the paved road in the middle of fields and meadows on a wooded plot under large old trees. It is a complete but simply furnished apartment with spacious living / bedroom with 2pers. bed and a study with shielded sleeping area with 2 pers. bunk beds. For your own use outside you have access to a large private (partially covered) terrace with a fire pit under the protective spreading canopy of the large alder and oak trees that grew up together. Adjacent is a large garden of 300m2. bordered by laurel hedge, where you can make your own seat at any desired spot. In the evening you can take a lovely evening stroll barefoot on the dirt road and enjoy the view to the wide distances and experience the deep peace and quiet of this unique place.
Nature and surroundings
At 1 km. distance the beautiful stream the Ruiten Aa meanders through the vast wild meadows. A little further on there is a small jetty where you can launch a canoe for an adventurous trip towards Ter Borg, a hamlet with a number of old authentic Saxon farms. At a distance of 2 km. our street, over the wildlife grates, turns into an old dirt road that traditionally runs through a forestry area of some 750ha. Here are vast moors with the original fens in between, around which the free grazing of free-roaming sheep and Scottish Highlanders provide the maintenance. At 4.5 km. cycling through the forestry Ter Borg you come to the village of Sellingen where there is still a small supermarket. This village lies on a sandbank and is surrounded on the west side by the beautiful Sellinger woods, along which also the river Aa flows. 3 km away is the Beetsestrand, a beautiful lake with clean, clear swimming water for a refreshing dive.
