On a small service road along the provincial road from Nederweert to Heythuysen is our campsite and food forest. Surrounded by an exceptionally beautiful fens area of the Peel. You spend the night in a unique and attractively decorated Bell Tent among the fledgling food forest. With each overnight stay, we are happy to spoil you in the morning with a delicious breakfast! In 2022 we started planting a food forest, where everything revolves around sustainable and ecological food cultivation. Currently there are already many edible crops, such as fruit trees, nut trees, fruit bushes, vegetables and herbs. In between, we have created five camping spots, each tent thus has its own cozy spot. The tents are equipped with all the basic amenities, such as a comfortable and made bed, cozy lighting, electricity, a nice indoor and outdoor seating area and some storage space. The tent stands on an insulated platform for a cozy indoor feeling.
Nature and surroundings
De Groote Peel is the smallest national park in the Netherlands, but no less special for that. The park is best known for the visible history of peat extraction and the many different bird species that can be found here during the breeding season. In addition, National Park De Groote Peel is also known for the typical boardwalks and plank bridges over which you can walk. These bridges and paths guide pedestrians through the marshy area. From the boarding bridges, the viewing platform or from the watchtower you can enjoy the magnificent view of De Groote Peel. The ideal way to explore De Groote Peel National Park is on foot. This can be done on your own or with an excursion. Are you planning to discover this beautiful and bird-rich nature reserve by yourself? Then there are plenty of beautiful hiking trails to choose from.
