My name is Yvonne. For two years I have been receiving guests in my B&B with the greatest pleasure. But from Monday 02-12-2024 to Friday 20-12-2024 I temporarily rename my B&B to Writer's House. For rent for a mid-week; arrival Monday, departure Friday. Or for a weekend; arrival Friday, departure Monday. So, if you want to focus on your work, write a book or study in a quiet, rural setting with a beautiful view, you are very welcome during this period. A break from noise and stimuli.... With the beach (at the coastal village of Callantsoog) so close by, it's great to get a breath of fresh air, for example, after a long day of work or study. A bite to eat in one of the cozy beach restaurants and then back to the cottage where the fine wood stove and underfloor heating make it comfortable. Time for a cup of tea or a glass of wine and then a good night's sleep.
Nature and surroundings
About 14 km. from the North Sea coast, on the historic Westfriesche Omringdijk, is right next to our farm Schrijvershuisje. With a wide view over farmlands, you can see the church towers of the town of Schagen in the distance. So the best of both worlds. The tranquility of the farmland and the hustle and bustle of the city at about 5 km. Poolland is a monumental piece of sea dyke, where the whalers used to hibernate when the harsh winter came to an end, to continue their sea voyage towards the far North. It could just be the beginning of an exciting adventure book....
