~NOW~ Get a breath of fresh air on the seawall? Enjoying the panoramic view and the stray game in the fields? Away from the crowd? That is possible with us in Klooster-Lidlum. From December 2024 is our self-built guesthouse (100 m2) available, formerly the coach house belonging to the farm. With the construction we have taken into account a good (wheelchair) accessibility. Everything is ground floor and equipped with underfloor heating. You can sleep in the cozy box bed or in one of the electrically adjustable beds. All beds are extra long. Bed linen, towels and kitchen linen are all included. The detached cottage is energy neutral and has its own kitchen with built-in appliances. We hope to welcome our guests to hospitable Friesland. Nature and surroundings
Klooster-lidlum is the smallest village center of the municipality of Waadhoeke near the university town of Franeker. For bird lovers, the Wadden Sea with salt marshes, offers a great diversity of (migratory) birds. From the sea dike, in clear weather, you can see Dutch islands. From Harlingen, the islands of Terschelling and Vlieland, are wonderful day destinations. Klooster-lidlum is located at a bicycle junction and close to the start of the journey to Santiago de la Compostella. Culturally special is Franeker with the Martena museum and the Planetarium and its various festivals. Good restaurants and cozy stores can be found here and all within a distance of 6 km.
