Our house has been in our family for 7 generations and is in the center of Portugal, 1 hour from Porto and the Atlantic and 2 hours from Lisbon.
Nature and surroundings
Our house is in a small village on a valley surrounded by forest, 2km from the famous N2 road, the Portuguese Route 66 and we welcome bikers. Our parking is private, closed in and secured by electric gates. We have 3 rivers nearby ideal for relaxing and sport activities - the Mondego, Ceira and Alva Rivers. You can kayak but the fishing is also famous. The Alva river is well known for its trout, and many national and international competitions take place here. The closest hill to the house has a rock climbing wall, natural pools set into the hillside and a handgliders' launching spot. If you want a bit more of a thrill, you can also try our kart track nearby. The hills are criss-crossed with nature trails and the flat valey is ideal for bycicle rides. If you want to stay home and relax, we have a pool - heated and covered in the winter - as well as a children's pool, a spa with massage, turkish bath and sauna. Our wellness treatments extend to a soothing foot detox.
