The Studio is located in wooded surroundings, right on the edge of the Ballonzuilbossen (290 hectares), where you can wander endlessly on nature trails. Yet the cozy center of Venray is easily accessible at 3.5km distance. The green surroundings and picturesque villages can be discovered on foot or by bike, check out the wide network of cycling and hiking trails in the area, it will surprise you. Are you looking for the perfect destination for a romantic getaway, time with a good friend or a solo adventure? The Studio would love to welcome you! You can relax and spend a lovely evening in the wood-fired hot tub, read a book or enjoy a drink on the terrace of your private garden. At 5 minutes from The Studio is the center of Venray with lots of nice places to eat and drink. The Studio was completely renovated in 2024 and equipped with a new kitchen and bathroom. The Studio is located next to our house, with private entrance and private garden for your use.

Merselo is located on the edge of nature reserve De Peel and also against the Ballonzuilbossen, which connects to De Stippelberg via three extensive forest belts. The Stippelberg is a nature reserve of 975 ha. Together with the Beestenveld in the north and the Nederheide in the south, De Stippelberg is one of the largest contiguous forest complexes in North Brabant/Limburg with an area of about 1925 ha. Every kilometer during a walk is different. At the beginning of the 20th century large parts of the wild Peel were reclaimed for agriculture and forestry. Today Venray is not only an agricultural municipality, but also one of the most forested municipalities in the Netherlands. The river Maas and the drifting dunes border the municipality on its eastern side. In Venray and the church villages are several nice routes you can follow to discover our beautiful surroundings. The Overloonsche Dunes can be found at 4.5km from The Studio, a beautiful diverse hiking area of 720ha.
