Campalfi is a 700 year old farmstead which originally was used by the monks who worked at the local mill by the river Merse. The accommodation is made up of 7 modestly furnished apartments (including kitchen) and a communal dining hall in which the owner Reiner cooks his organic a la carte 5 course meals approximately 4 times per week for guests. The large grounds comprise also of a football pitch, badminton court and bocce field to name a few, which make it ideal for pets and children to enjoy the great outdoors.

Campalfi is situated in the middle of a nature reserve, far away from the noise and lights of the city. The fields and forests encircling Campalfi are home to many wild animals such as deers, wild boars and in winter even wolves. There are hikes which aren’t too demanding and can take you up beautiful forest paths, alongside gorgeous creeks and ancient castles; all of which are walkable from Campalfi. The Merse river which is the main attraction is a 2 minute walk from Campalfi just across the field and is host to all sorts of fish and exotic looking birds. Its “pools” and crystal clear waters also make it the perfect place for a swim during the warmer months.
