Just opened! Our comfortable nature house is located on estate 't Zand in Zelhem. With a fantastic location on the Pieterpad (stage 14) and countless kilometers of walking and cycling routes, the perfect base for an adventurous walking or cycling vacation in the Achterhoek. The ground-level 47 m2 bungalow has a well-equipped open kitchen, modern bathroom, 2 comfortable bedrooms and a cozy living room. The forest cottage is equipped with every comfort, including a dishwasher, cozy pellet stove, Nespresso machine, pizza oven and excellent Wifi. In the cottage there are reading books, games, hiking routes and leaflets about the area. Enjoy a homemade pizza from our own pizza oven. The cottage is located on a small, quiet bungalow park in the woods. Private parking is available at the cottage. Bus line 23 (Borculo-Zelhem-Doetinchem) stops in front of the park entrance. Bicycles can be stored and charged in the wooden garden house.
Nature and surroundings
Discover the beautiful nature of Zelhem, the Green Heart of the Achterhoek, directly from our forest cottage. From a gate at the back of the forest park you walk/cycle into the 375-hectare nature reserve of estate 't Zand. A varied landscape of moors, fens, woods, sand drifts and extensive sandy paths. In the immediate vicinity are beautiful walks and bike rides to make, including MTB and gravel routes through the Achterhoek landscape. If you want to do something different for a day, there is plenty to do in the area - within cycling distance - for young and old, including Golfclub 't Zelle in Hengelo, Museum MORE, Klimbos Achterhoek, Zwembad de Meene and Europe's largest hedge maze in Ruurlo. After an active day in the outdoors, enjoy a drink on one of the terraces or enjoy dinner in one of Zelhem's many good restaurants. Experience peace and nature in our comfortable forest cottage!
