Escape to the heart of the Lauragais region by staying at our gîte, a historic farmhouse dating back to 1781, and already present when the UNESCO World Heritage Canal du Midi was built. Our property is surrounded by fields of sunflowers, flax and golden wheat. It's the perfect place to relax and get back to basics. It's the ideal place for a peaceful vacation with family or friends (up to 6 people). The gîte is set in a hectare of greenery with a pond and a small private wood where our two sheep live happily. You'll appreciate the authentic charm of our building, which has been restored using the original materials of yesteryear (red brick, stone and wood). The Sunflower apartment on the first floor and the Pastel and Cocagne bedrooms upstairs have been carefully furnished to guarantee your comfort. There's also a large common room with billiard table and fireplace, and a garden with barbecue.
Nature and surroundings
Just 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bike from the gîte, the Canal du Midi invites you to discover its landscapes and the Gardouch lock. Nearby, two lakes await you: Lac de la Thésauque with aquapark, waterjump and mini-golf, and Lac de la Ganguise, perfect for water sports with the Castelnaudary sailing school (windsurfing, paddle, fishing, swimming). Nature lovers and thrill-seekers will be delighted! Hike through spectacular landscapes, try your hand at geocaching, fly over the region in a hot-air balloon, or try your hand at horse-riding and paintball for moments of pure pleasure. 10 minutes away, the towns of Nailloux and Villefranche-de-Lauragais offer shops, cinema, swimming pool, market, train station and freeway access to Toulouse.
