Welcome to our cozy Tiny house, located on the idyllic Lekdijk in Langerak. This charming nature house, with an area of 40 m², offers a unique place to unwind in the middle of nature. From the cottage you have a beautiful view over the surrounding meadows, between sheep and cows. The cottage is located in the orchard of farmer Jaap, where you can get fresh eggs. The interior is entirely made of recycled materials, such as curtains made of jeans, cups made of coffee grounds, kitchen cabinets made of PET bottles and materials from the recycling. The cottage is built with circular materials from the Kluslus in Groot Ammers, the insulation is done with wood fibers. We generate our own energy with a solar water heater and solar panels. The ideal getaway for together, with the kids or as friends. The quiet place is also the ideal place for creative people to write, paint or compose.
Nature and surroundings
This Nature House is an ideal base for nature lovers who want to explore the diverse nature of South Holland. The cottage is located in the Alblasserwaard, known for its vast polders, windmills and Kinderdijk, it doesn't get any more Dutch than this. The immediate vicinity offers plenty of opportunities: just 6 kilometers away is the Zouwe Boezem, a beautiful nature reserve where you can walk and enjoy the rich biodiversity and many birds. At 10 kilometers is National Park De Biesbosch, a unique freshwater tidal area where you might even encounter a beaver during a canoe trip. For a cultural outing, the historic town of Nieuwpoort is only 4 kilometers away, with its charming streets, old city walls. Or a visit to Unesco World Heritage Site the windmills of Kinderdijk.
