Cottage for rent in the Spanish Pyrenees for 2 to 4 people. (On the first floor is a 2nd cottage, this can also be rented in 1 whole to max 10 people. Contact us for more info. ) This Nature House, located on the ground floor of a renovated house in the village 'Troncedo'. Comprises in 1 room: -bedroom: double bed (160x200) -separated from the living room- -living room: sofa bed, (140x200) television, radio-CD, radiators -kitchen-dining room: microwave, cooker, fridge, washing machine, freezer, coffee machine and kettle -separate bathroom with shower and toilet, -terrace and small garden with picnic table for the views. Sheets and towels are not provided. Due to the thick natural stone walls, the house remains pleasantly fresh in summer. There is a possibility to keep the sun out by closing the shutters on the windows. In the village lives Montse. She provides the welcome and keys, and she can give tips for exploring the area.
Nature and surroundings
Troncedo is located in the Spanish pre-Pyrenees , at an altitude of 1000m, at the foot of the high mountains and the natural parks of 'Ordesa y Monte Perdido', 'Maladetes' and 'the Sierra de Guara'. The views and sunsets are breathtaking. In Troncedo itself there is no store, but there is a bar that opens on weekends. The house is on the GR1; shopping can be done in Tierrantona or Graus 20 and 30 minutes away. There is no public transportation nearby. Various outdoor activities are possible in the area: canyoning, rafting, kayaking, mountain climbing, mountain tours... . An outdoor public swimming pool and tennis is 15 minutes away, the lake of El Grado 20 minutes. Even for less sporty people or birdwatchers, the nature and the environment is a real breath of fresh air. Excursions to the monastery of 'Samitier' or a visit to the medieval town of 'Ainsa', the monastery of Muro de Roda are just a selection of a range of cultural and historical excursions.
