At the far edge of Ecodorp Boekel, is a special recreation house that seems to float above the ground. Built on stilts, about 3 meters above ground level, designed by an artist, you stay in the crown of the trees. At the front of the spacious terrace you can (almost) touch the forest and look out over the fields of Boekel in Brabant. An exquisite place for stillness, contemplation, resting, processing, healing and perhaps experiencing how, by taking distance, a new horizon appears, a re-creation: The place Points the way! The cottage fits like a warm blanket around your shoulders because of its natural materials, while the cheerful light space refreshes you as it were. All the basic amenities are "naturally" present combined with art, while still giving you a back-to-basics feeling. For those looking for a unique escape, away from the hustle and bustle and in the heart of nature, The Place Wise is the perfect choice. Here you can find peace.
Nature and surroundings
You have absolute privacy but are also welcome in the community of Ecodorp Boekel. On Saturdays we always have a cooperative day you may join, in the food garden, the outdoor space. While doing chores you can experience community life. At noon we enjoy a cup of delicious soup together and if you are lucky there is a communal meal at the end of the day. Also on other days you can often participate in the eco-village. If you just let us know, we will provide you with some guidance. There is always someone around to tell you more about the village. Boekel, a charming village in North Brabant, is located on the edge of De Peel - one of the Netherlands' most unique nature reserves, which stretches across the border of the provinces of North Brabant and Limburg. The Peelrand fault has not only a geological value, but also an ecological one due to the unique natural communities of plants and animals created.
