Nature house in Giethoorn

Welcome to our charming thatched nature house, located in picturesque Giethoorn, right on the village canal but still in a quiet location.Romantic we cannot make it more romantic, the bird sounds, geese flying over, ducks and swans in the canal, the sunrise from bed to see.... And if you look closely and with a little luck you can even see the deer in the meadow on the other side of the canal. This authentic cottage offers the ideal combination of tranquility, nature and comfort. You look from both the living room and bed directly on the canal. Layout: Downstairs is the cozy sitting / dining area and a small kitchen incl Nespresso incl hot water function, fridge freezer and microwave. Behind a sliding door is the bathroom incl toilet. Hairdryer available. Outside on the veranda is a garden bench where you can eat or read a book in nice weather. Upstairs you will find a comfortable 2-person bed. The cottage is heated and cooled by air conditioning, and has excellent Wifi.

The cottage is located in the National Park Weerribben-Wieden, you can park your car at P2 and from there it is a 500m walk or further by bike. We have a shed with charging station for your e-bikes. By train / bus is also possible, the bus stop is 500m away. The footpath is passable and you pass 1 bridge. Once installed you can reach the center of the village with cozy restaurants and stores on foot in 10-15min. Even in the summer when Giethoorn can be busy and hectic on some days, you won't notice it at our place... The area is also known for its beautiful lake area for water sports enthusiasts, and the many cycling and hiking trails. Discover nice places like Meppel and Steenwijk and do not forget the Zuiderzee towns like Blokzijl and Vollenhove. The forests of Overijssel and Drenthe are about 15-20min away by car. In short, be welcome and experience Giethoorn from our cozy cottage!
