Nature and surroundings
Our vacation home is located in the most beautiful part of the Extertal. The small vacation park is located between the Teutoburg Forest and the Weserbergland Nature Park, on the border between North Rhine-Westphalia and North Rhine-Westphalia. The forest with its beautiful hiking trails starts right on the doorstep. The historic towns of Rinteln, Lemgo, Hameln, Bückeburg and Detmold with their medieval half-timbered houses are within easy reach. Various hiking trails in the immediate vicinity (with waterfalls), the Doktorsee for swimming and boating, water skiing in the Weser leisure center, helicopter museum, Detmold open-air museum, Hermannsdenkmal, night watchman in Rinteln, trolley ride, Externsteine, eagle watch, bird park, ski slope with small ski lift, toboggan run. Many farms with direct sales of regional products can also be found nearby.
