"If God lives in France, he must live very close by" wrote one of our guests. In the middle of green nature you will find our characteristic 500 year old water mill with miller's house (12 persons) and bakery (4 persons). Both houses can be rented separately or together. But because we only rent to one party, you are lord and master and will not be disturbed by other tenants. Layout: ground floor: cozy living room with fireplace and loft, professionally equipped kitchen with large stove, 2 worktops and 2 sinks, toilet, bathroom, 2x double bedrooms, laundry and ironing room. Upstairs: 2x double bedrooms, toilet, bathroom, double bedroom with private bathroom and private sitting room, sleeping loft with 2 single beds and some loose mattresses. Outside you will find several terraces with comfortable furniture, a covered terrace, petanque court and large swimming pool,
Nature and surroundings
Our authentic water mill is located on a private driveway, 300 meters away from the public road. Peace and quiet are assured on our paradisiacal property which consists of 14 hectares of forest, valley, streams and a gurgling waterfall. At the reservoir a boat awaits you, from the terrace you can enjoy the sight of Limousin cows, the playground , the petanque court or the beautiful butterfly garden. The hilly surroundings of our property are very suitable for cyclists (Raymond Poulidor is our local celebrity), hikers and fishermen (even on our own property). Plenty of amenities can be found 4 kilometers away in the medieval town of Saint Léonard de Noblat. And for more metropolitan amenities drive to Limoges (24 km). This has a nice center and of course a lot of porcelain. Furthermore, a visit to the Lac de Vassivière and the village of Oradour sur Glane are highly recommended.
