The front house of this small characteristic 1850s Betuwe T-farmhouse, is decorated with a mix of designer furniture, Dutch masters on the wall, modern art and cheerful quilts on the beds. Equipped with all contemporary conveniences. Located in a quiet spot on the dike, outside the built-up area, with access to the floodplains within walking distance, the front house is accessible through its own door and is entirely at your disposal. You will find a spacious living room, dining room with pantry (no cooking facilities), and upstairs (accessible via a steep staircase) a large bedroom with bathroom. If you come with more than two people you can also use the double box bed. The rooms are interconnected and the bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom.

Our B&B in the charming village of Varik is located on the Waal, with its ever-changing river landscape and wide floodplains. It is a place where you really feel the power of the water and the silence of nature. The Betuwe is known for its orchards, but here it is about more than just fruit. It is the old dike roads, surprising views and picturesque villages that make this region so special. Cycle along the river Waal, between ships and cows, and discover hidden places like historic Buren or the lively town of Zaltbommel. Walk through the floodplains and spot kingfishers, beavers or hares as the river flows quietly by. Or come for a Friday afternoon drink at Proeflokaal d'Oude School, part of the local Distillery, where artisanal eau de vie is distilled from Betuwe fruit.
