Nature house in La Piedra de Zahor (Albanchez)

Our house is located at the beginning of the small white village of La Piedra de Zahor. Downstairs is a kitchenette with pantry, sitting room (with extra 2 pers. sofa bed), dining room with wood stove and the bathroom. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with a 1.80 wide bed (easily separated as two single beds) and a bedroom with 2 single beds. You have to go through the master bedroom to get to this bedroom. On this floor is a spacious roof terrace. There are fans in the bedrooms. In front of the house is a nice terrace with a view of the valley and behind the house is another terrace and garden. The quiet location means at the same time that you are a little remote from the world. The last few hundred meters of the route are unpaved. There is no telephone coverage, but there is wifi and internet. This makes it very suitable for two people or a family with children. But, of course, other compositions are also possible.

La Piedra de Zahor is located in the foothills of the Sierra de los Filabros in Andalusia (province of Almeria). From the house it is wonderful walking through the rambla or over the quiet hills. On the rocks above the house you can see ibexes and the eagle owl. Nature lovers enjoy intensely here. If you like birds, you will be in luck. At the bottom of the path to La Piedra is an old restored olive mill. Everywhere there are almond trees, olive trees and figs. Nearby are mountain villages such as Albanchez, Cobdar and Lubrin. Sorbas (35km) is a must for pottery lovers and known for its caves. About an hour and a half away are the Natural Parks of Gabo de Gata, known for its diverse bird population, Sierra de Baza and the beautiful Sierra Maria. Closer by are the forests in the mountains near Seron. The nearest beaches are Vera Playa and fashionable Mojacar. The beautiful beaches at Agua Amarga and San Jose are also within easy reach.
