During our year-long search for a country cottage, we discovered by chance a dilapidated chalet in a Kempen forest, completely overgrown and clearly abandoned for years. But beautifully located at the edge of the oak forest, overlooking a sunny meadow. We were immediately sold. And the chalet too, to us! After the first necessary interventions (cutting a path through the bramble, sealing a leak in the roof, replacing the rotten parts of the floor, putting in a trampoline for the children) we have in recent years the chalet more and more adapted to our life there, and embellished. And enjoyed all our hard work! The connection to the water supply, and the purchase of our view, the lovely Meadow have given the place another boost. And made us finally realize our dream: to rent out a quirky vacation home and a wonderful place in nature to like-minded souls.
