The bakery was built in 1850 as an annex to the old water mill. There was a wood oven for baking bread. The cottage has been tastefully renovated and is ideal for 2 to 4 people. It can sleep up to 6 people, 4 in the bedroom on the ground floor and 2 in the duplex above the living space on the 1st floor. The furnishings are basic: wood stove in the living space, gas stove that keeps the bedroom at 12 degrees in winter. On each floor there is a bathroom with shower and toilet. Both floors also have a separate exit. The bakery overlooks the Grand Ruisseau, 150 m further it flows into the Semois. There is a public picnic area where children can play to their hearts' content. The bakery itself has a private garden and parking space. (not closed). The bakery is located separately, the owners have their outside space on the side and the other guests at the back of the main building. IN JULY AND AUGUST THE RENTAL IS PER WEEK, FROM MONDAY TO SUNDAY
Nature and surroundings
Together with the former water mill, where the owners live and where there is also another vacation house for 14 people (Moulin du Rivage), the bakery is the only building in the protected valley of the Tomb of the Giant, one of the most famous viewpoints in Belgium. The Semois Valley is known for its deciduous forests. The mill is at a crossroads of hiking and mountain biking routes, an hour and a half's walk from medieval town of Bouillon, known among other things for its castle and its many catering establishments. We are accessible via a tough, but drivable forest road, 1.5 km from the village of Botassart.
