Welcome to the forest cottage! Escape the daily hustle and bustle and experience ultimate peace and quiet in our cozy chalet, located on a forest park the Green Deer, adjacent to the beautiful National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug in Hellendoorn in Overijssel. Our chalet can accommodate 5 people and has a spacious garden of 360m3 between the trees. It also features a space storage room for your bicycles. The interior is warm and luxuriously decorated and fully equipped. The spacious living room is equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and several games for relaxation. The two bedrooms consist of a luxurious double box spring and a room with a bunk bed and a separate box spring. The modern bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower and the fully equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing delicious meals or drinks boards. Outside, enjoy the large garden with a garden set, parasol, barbecue and private hot tub. Please note that the park is still under construction and will be completed in mid-2025.
Nature and surroundings
The forest cottage is located on the edge of National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug, a unique nature reserve with vast heathlands, dense forests and rolling hills. This landscape is rare in the Netherlands and a paradise for hikers and cyclists. Several routes start from our chalet, including the popular Holterberg route and the Pieterpad. In the vast nature you can spot the rare grouse, a bird species found almost nowhere else in the Netherlands. Deer, foxes and numerous bird species can also be found here. Visit the Outdoor Center Sallandse Heuvelrug for more information about flora and fauna.Besides nature, the area offers cozy villages such as Hellendoorn and Nijverdal, with atmospheric restaurants and regional products. In every season the Sallandse Heuvelrug has something special to offer, from purple moors in summer to misty forests in autumn.
