Nature house in Hällefors

Experience country life in Sweden on this small farm. The farm is completely secluded. The farm has sheep, cows, chickens and its own vegetable garden with berry bushes. In the garden is a fireplace and a grill. A quiet oasis in the Swedish forests. The house has an authentic kitchen with a wood stove, which can be used, a living room with wood stove and a new extension with a toilet shower. Upstairs are 2 spacious bedrooms. As soon as you enter the yard through the country road you will be struck by the peace and quiet, the way the barns are placed gives you a sheltered yard. From the house you walk directly into the woods or towards the river which connects 2 lakes. The lake Hjulsjön is 500 meters away from the house. On the other side of the lake we live, here we run a small sheep farm. With the use of the sheep and cows we keep the old cultural landscape open. We are happy to give a tour of our organic farm.

The farm is located in Hjulsjö, a small village in the middle of the Bergslagen region. Here the history of iron ore mining can still be seen in many places. 2 km from the farm is Södra Hyttan with Sweden's largest second-hand book market in a historic building, where iron ore used to be processed. There is also a nature station there. A little further away is the beautiful Kindla nature reserve, with beautiful hiking trails and an observation tower. Through Kindla runs the long-distance hiking trail (280 km) Bergslagsleden. Also Nittälven, a river valley with contiguous nature reserves and sights is only 20 km away. In Hjulsjö is a mountain bike center with a total of 200 km of beautiful varied trails, some of these routes pass the farm. At the lake Hjulsjön is a small bathing place with covered grill area and a wood-fired sauna for general use. From Hjulsjön is a canoe route, through a magical little river to the next lake, Grängen.
