This cottage has been sympathetically refurbished in a modern style to blend with the charm and character of its rustic walls and beams. All rooms have amazing views of the countryside. It is secluded, private with own entrance, driveway, garden with outside furniture & BBQ. You also have use of the jaccuzzi/hot tub in the main shared garden. Through the patio doors you enter into the spacious open plan lounge/diner/kitchen. It has comfortable, modern furniture with coordinating soft furnishings, a flat screen television and a modern wood-burner. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric ceramic hob cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, and a freezer. Up the spiral staircase are the main bedroom with double bed, a second bedroom with twin beds. Bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and heated towel rail. Washing machine. A cot & highchair are available. The cottage accommodates four guests plus baby in cot. We also welcome well-behaved dogs.
Nature and surroundings
You can walk in the woods and countryside right from the doorstep of the cottage. The lanes are very quiet for walking or cycling. The cycling is wonderful if a little challenging on the hills. Space for bike storage in the large wood store. You will need a car to visit local towns for shopping and sight-seeing. Natural pure water from the springs that cross our gardens. Surrounded by woodland & wild life, rivers & lakes on your doorstep. See nature close up as it passes through the gardens and trees - owls, birds of prey, deer, red squirrels, pine martens and much more. Wild flowers abound attracting the bees, butterflies, dragonflies & many other insects. We have a nearby river beach within easy walking distance and also a bar/restaurant just across the valley. Water sports, beaches & restaurants at Lac Vassiviere 20 mins drive. Local markets at Eymoutiers, St Leonard de Noblat & Peyrat Le Chateau. Limoges for sight-seeing, restaurants, world famous fine porcelain & so much more!
