We get it, it can sometimes be hard to know where to start from. One destination which can mark the beginning of your trip is the mountain Esja. Although it is not that high – the highest point to be found at a little bit over 900 meters - the panoramas which are revealed to you are spectacular. The interesting thing about the location is that the top of the mountain is flat – certainly something worth seeing.

It is called the Glymur Waterfall and it is situated around 70 kilometers away from Reykjavik. In addition, you have to be prepared for the fact that access to the waterfall can be tricky. Nonetheless, every effort is worth it – the view of the waterfall – which, by the way, is around 200 meters high - is heavenly. Besides, it is not only the waterfall – the rock formations around are also amazing.
