Ireland weekend trips
Ireland is a European island, which is very popular among tourists. That is easily understandable given how awesome Irish landscapes are – if you are looking for amazing, lush vegetation, as well as some spectacular lakes, Ireland should definitely be considered as your next weekend getaway. The country offers some spectacular sights which are worthy of attention and you can see plenty of nature everywhere. Therefore, if you are looking for a unique place to visit as a way to forget about the hectic day-to-day lifestyle, you just found your perfect destination.
Before departing to Ireland, why don’t you check out our selection of amazing nature houses and cottages? They guarantee that you are never too far from nature and never stop exploring. Besides, the proximity to wildlife does not mean that you should compromise your comfort. Quite the contrary – all of the properties have everything you would need for a pleasant stay.
Irish nature
There are so many things worth your attention while in Ireland! Although some of the attractions cannot be missed. One of them is the highest waterfall on the territory of the country, known as the Powerscourt Waterfall. Its height of over 120 meters is impressive; what we tend to enjoy here is the pure joy of being in front of such a majestic sight – it almost serves as a therapy for the soul. Moreover, the way water carves its way through the rocks and the vegetation can’t be easily forgotten.
Our next stop is going to once again remind us of how beautiful Ireland can be. The Cliffs of Moher are very famous globally, and we highly recommend that you go and see them in person. The interesting part is that the cliffs are vertical, with their highest point being at 214 meters! The contrast between the water of the Atlantic Ocean and the green nature surrounding the spot is surreal. We sometimes find it hard to believe that such spots are actually real, and not part of a fairy tale of some sort.
Stay active, stay healthy
There are a number of ways for you to stay in shape during your weekend trip. For instance, you can always engage in some hiking. Hiking in Ireland is never going to be boring, as the nature around is going to excite the inner explorer in you. Moreover, we always find it incredibly rewarding and challenging to try to look for hidden spots of pure beauty – you should try it too!
Cycling can also be a very joyful experience, as the country has some stunning routes for you to choose from. If you find it hard to settle on one, let us help you – the Blessington Greenway is an area which is very suitable for an exploration on two wheels.
