Bungalow Liguria
Liguria is a north-western region in Italy with a spectacular location right at the curve of the Italian “boot” in the Mediterranean and across from the French island of Corsica. The Alps and Apennines cross the territory of this province, creating a unique landscape. The area of Liguria presents a narrow strip of land which is predominantly covered in hills and peaks, some of which can reach altitudes of more than 2,000 m.
This amazing Italian region is ready to mesmerize you with its authentic beauty and nature. Book a bungalow in Liguria and enjoy the stunning coastal areas of one of the smallest regions in Italy. You can also choose a bungalow situated in the mountainous parts of Liguria where you will be able to enjoy the mild Ligurian weather during all seasons! Whatever your holiday preference is, be prepared to have a wonderful stay in our bungalows, where you will find everything you might need for a great holiday!
Ligurian nature to explore
Liguria is the national park heaven of Italy, making it the perfect vacation place for nature enthusiasts and those looking for a greener holiday. One of the most remarkable protected areas is the Cinque Terre National Park. Although this is considered as the smallest national park in the country, its beauty and ecological importance are out of question. The area of the park includes some of the most famous Italian Riviera towns and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Due to the explicit beauty of this park’s nature and the increased interest from tourists, eventually the infrastructure was improved to accommodate the inflow of people. However, the park’s management has been extremely careful with tourism so as to not destroy the natural wonders and unique landscape of the region. This is one of the most famous places in Europe applying the policies of eco- and sustainable tourism.
Two small islands part of the province are also two of the most beautiful natural reserves throughout Italy. The Bergeggi Reserve is a remarkable sighting. On a trip to these small islands, you will admire high cliffs with many small caves dwelled into them by the force of the sea. It is believed that in the past this island was connected to the mainland by a narrow rocky tongue which was subsequently destroyed by the sea. The island will also spark your interest with its unique flora. The Campanula Sabatia, for example, is a stunning purple flower exclusively growing in this park of Liguria.
Activities to try
Hikers are bound to fall in love with Liguria and its numerous hiking trails. All of the protected areas in the region have at least some trails and of course Cinque Terre has some of the most beautiful ones. Some of the most popular routes include the Monterosso-Vernazza and the Vernazza-Corniglia routes which are paid (€7.50) or the Manarola - Volastra - Corniglia coastal route (free of charge). The beaches in the Liguria area are also a must-visit. Baia dei Saraceni and Le Calandre are two beaches providing you with a peaceful day near the water and a spectacular view of the cliffs – hundreds of meters in height.
