Having a family party or just want to get away from it all with your family or friends? This nature house can accommodate parties of up to 10 people. Note: youth and student groups are NOT allowed. There are five bedrooms, two of which have private bathrooms. The other three bedrooms use a (larger) bathroom with shower and bath and a separate toilet. All bedrooms are on the ground floor. There is a kitchen with a large table and in the garden there is a covered terrace and a gazebo by the water. Parking is available behind the accommodation. In this nature house you will find above the kitchen a living room with all amenities. It is cozy sitting upstairs, under the roof that is still held up by the original trusses. There is a closet full of games, books and magazines to fight any boredom. There is also a real shuffleboard, for some Old Dutch fun!

The insects in the bushes along the waterfront make soft buzzing sounds, while the light of the setting sun envelops the world in an orange glow. In the air is the smell of grass and barbecue. Two canoeists paddle by. Their laughter and the splash of water echo between the banks of the Hunze River. And this Hunze flows directly behind this beautiful place. In the summer, you can use available canoes and kayaks to explore the vast splendor of the Hunze or swim and fish in the river water. Besides peace and nature, there is plenty to do nearby. You walk within two minutes to Café 't Keerpunt, where you can have a nice dinner and enjoy live music in the evening. Spijkerboor is the perfect base for a day out in Drenthe or Groningen. You are near the city center of Assen & Groningen, the Drents Museum, Emmen Zoo, Hunebedcentrum Borger, among others. The little ones can also enjoy themselves in the area, for example with a visit to the Sprookjeshof in Zuidlaren or the play park Kabouterland in Exloo. And both Zuidlaren and Veendam have a subtropical swimming pool.
