A beautiful nature house in the Drenthe village of De Kiel. The bungalow (not attached) is located near forests with ample opportunities for cycling and walking. Emmen and Assen are easily reached by bus. Bus stops nearby. The cottage has a large living room with TV. and open kitchen, equipped with an induction hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee machine and kettle, kitchen linen is provided. WIFI available. There is one bedroom with two separate beds (bed linen provided) and in the living room there is also opportunity to sleep on a double sofa bed. There is a bathroom with sink, toilet and shower cubicle and towels. Outside is a terrace with a large garden facing south. There is a shed for storing bicycles. Garden furniture is available. There is also on-site parking for one passenger car. Stores about one and a half km away in the village of Schoonoord.
Nature and surroundings
De Kiel is a village in the municipality of Coevorden, Drenthe. It is located on a spot, where the seven-marches used to come together. At this point lies the 'Zevenmarkensteen'. In Emmen (15 km) is the beautiful zoo 'Wildlands' and plenty of opportunity for shopping. There are several museums in the area, mostly focused on historical Drenthe. De Kiel is very central in terms of visiting the Van Gogh locations. Assen, Nieuw-Amsterdam, Zweeloo,Hoogeveen). The village is surrounded by deciduous and coniferous forests with many moors, forest lakes and fens. The area is ideal for hiking and cycling through nature. De Kiel is located on the Pieterpad and Fietserpad. There are also cycling nodes where you can determine your own routes.
