The nature house is located near the farmhouse on a sandy head, a natural spur of the Hondsrug in the outlying area near Coevorden, Dalen and Schoonebeek. It is located on a plot of approximately 10,000m², in the former marsh area east of Coevorden. The parcel joins other agricultural parcels with a dual use, namely agriculture and water retention area. This makes it home to many species of animals and water birds. There is an orchard, loam pond and a grove where animals also nest. In the nature reserve Bargerveen and in the forests near Meppen and Gees are walking and cycling routes.
