Radio, TV watching or streaming can be done via your laptop or tablet via google home app. There is a good sound system. There is a sturdy wood stove, wood is provided before arrival. There is also a gas stove, bathroom with shower and an open kitchen. At this nature house you can enjoy nature from the covered terrace or with the French doors to the forest. Live on the spacious sammelplatz with fire pit that can also be used as a bbq. Become one with nature in the rustic outdoor bathtub and large lounging swing or read a book at night under the outdoor hanging lamp. This is definitely not a thousand-in-a-dozen cottage.
Nature and surroundings
The Langeloƫrduinen is a beautiful and varied nature reserve with dunes from prehistoric times and is attached to the Molenduinen, a quiet nature reserve. The cozy village of Norg is within cycling distance. It is a typical village with thatched farmhouses, several anique and curio stores, fine restaurants, two supermarkets, regularly a fish cart and a market on Wednesday. Near this nature house is a tropical swimming pool (Norg) and tennis courts. There are two renowned wellness centers in the vicinity. Next to Norg is the museum village of Veenhuizen and nearby are several interesting museums (Groninger museum, De Buitenplaats, museum of realistic art Eelde, Drents Museum). In a wide circle around Norg are smaller villages. Norg borders the nature reserve Noordsche Veld, a unique area with cultural-historical remains, such as remains of Germanic settlements (Celtic Fields), the primeval forest Norgerholt (probably one of the oldest forests in the Netherlands with 170-year-old oaks and the largest holly tree in Europe) and several dolmens in Steenbergen and Westervelde.
