If you love space, peace and nature, this luxurious and complete nature house is definitely recommended. This comfortably furnished cottage for two people, with the possibility of booking up to two extra people for one night, is located in the yard of the adjacent farmhouse, where your hosts stay. The cottage has an open kitchen with bar and is equipped with a six-burner stove, wide oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and separate freezer. The bathroom has a rain shower. Because of the layout of the living room, with a fine wood-burning stove, there is a wide view of the garden. There are two bedrooms The sauna is optional. Included in the rental is kitchen, linen and a towel package, as well as toilet paper, cleaning products, etc.. Upon arrival your bed is already made. There is plenty of privacy and there is now 100% WiFi. Tourist tax, final cleaning and any use of the sauna will be charged separately after your stay.
Nature and surroundings
The hamlet Papenvoort (located on the Historic TT-route) in the Drenthe Aa and Hunze, the location of this lovely cottage, lies between Rolde (5 km) with several restaurants and Borger (7 km.). At 12 km. is Assen, with the Drents Museum, cinema and theater De Nieuwe Kolk and several nice stores, cafes and restaurants. The area has many beautiful hiking and cycling opportunities, where a visit to the Boomkroonpad (two kilometers) and the Hunebedcentrum in Borger are highly recommended. Papenvoort is near the "blues village" Grolloo, the birthplace of Cuby, with the Cubymuseum. The International Blues Festival also takes place there annually in June. Nearby are a number of fine swimming lakes. Near Balloo is the sheepfold at the Balloërveld. From our nature house you can walk through the garden to the pond and the basin of the Drentse Aa and the adjacent woods, where sometimes just a deer is. There is also a badger sett and nature is rich in many bird species.
