In the Drents-Friese Wold stands this charming nature house on a forest plot on a dirt road in a beautiful nature reserve with forests, heathland, shifting dunes, lakes and animals. The house is cozy and has everything for a relaxing stay. The house has a spacious living room with large windows that make you feel you are in the middle of nature and can see the birds and squirrels visiting the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, combi-oven, Nespresso and Filter coffee machine and milk frother. There are games, books, a record player and an outdoor stove with pizza oven. The bathroom is spacious and the beds good and nice linens provided. The house has fast wifi and a TV, washer, dryer and hammock, trampoline and swing in the garden. Nature and surroundings
From the nature house you walk and bike directly into the woods onto the moors. The Doldersummerveld is beautifully purple in August and September. There are dozens of walks and bike rides nearby. including to the Aekingermeer (Canada Lake) and the Aekingerzand. The Aekingermeer is a beautiful clean lake and has beaches and sunbathing areas all around. The Aekingerzand offers opportunities for endless walks through heathlands and sand dunes and has a large watchtower. The brink villages of Diever, Vledder, Dwingeloo, Appelscha and Frederiksoord are fun to visit and have good restaurants and cafes. Steenwijk, Giethoorn (the werribben), Meppel, Emmen (Wildlands), Drachten, Giethoorn, Leeuwarden and Assen are also nice cities for a day out
