Sandwiched between the massif The Hondsrug and the river Hunze, amid the nature reserves of the Hunzedal, is a residential farm with an attractive nature house in the yard. A house with all the privacy, private garden and terrace. In all fairness, this privacy must be shared with a large colony of swallows and sparrows that chatter loudly and swiftly hunt for insects! But otherwise there is peace and quiet and languid rurality.
Nature and surroundings
The immediate surroundings offer many possibilities. By bike, through the shell paths to the green villages of the Hondsrug, the stream valley landscape of the Drentse Aa, Geopark the Hondsrug , the state forests or just to the village. Walkers can also enjoy the nature reserves of the Hunzevallei, the beautiful Zwanemeerbos with its numerous ancient burial mounds, the Baloérveld where farmers in the Iron Age already built their fields and so on and so forth. You can fish or explore the meandering Hunze river by canoe. The cities of Groningen and Assen can be reached within 25 minutes, as well as Emmen with its Wildlands zoo.
