In the vicinity are beautiful cycling and walking routes. In Assen starts one of the Happen & Trappen bicycle routes. Furthermore, the estate is located halfway along the walking route Rolde-Schoonoord of the Pieterpad. A few kilometers away you will find the Boomkroonpad. In Emmen is the Wildlands zoo, which is about a half hour drive from the nature house.
