A varied nature and picturesque villages make it complete. Stores are a 10-minute drive away in Rolde, Borger and Grolloo. There is plenty to do around the private forest. In the vicinity are beautiful cycling and walking routes. In Assen starts one of the Happen & Trappen bicycle routes. Furthermore, the estate is located halfway along the walking route Rolde-Schoonoord of the Pieterpad. A few kilometers away you will find the Boomkroonpad. In Emmen is the Wildlands zoo, which is about a half hour drive from the nature house.
