Nature house in Zuidlaarderveen

Charming, simple and comfortable nature house (apartment of 55 m² incl. sleeping floor), located behind our farmhouse with private terrace and access to the natural pond with bamboo forest. On the ground floor of the nature house you will find the living, dining and sitting room with double sofa bed and the (open) kitchen. Zuidlaarderveen is a small village 5 km. from Zuidlaren (very pleasant tourist village) and is centrally located between Groningen and Assen, where you can visit museums, stores and restaurants. There is a double bed (140 x 200 centimeters) on the upper floor, which is part of the open space (loft idea). This floor is reached by a steep spiral staircase with armrest. Public transportation starts in Zuidlaren (bus) or Kropswolde (train). The landlords are happy to pick you up/drop you off to/from the bus or train station. A retro folding caravan in the adjacent garden can also be used in the warmer months if you come with 4 people.

There are many opportunities for water sports around the nature house, with the river Hunze (Oostermoerse vaart) and the Zuidlaardermeer as the biggest attractions in this area. A Canadian canoe for three to four persons is at your disposal free of charge. You can also of course cycle in the area, with the landlords happy to provide bicycles. Hiking is possible on the various moors or in the woods in the area (Gasterse Duinen, Balloërveld). Behind the nature house is a natural pond and a bamboo grove. It goes without saying that this is an amphibian and bird paradise. So you can also enjoy the peace and quiet and the surroundings. There are two shetland ponies walking in the adjacent pasture plot. In the immediate vicinity (400 meters) is a recently constructed hiking forest and the Tusschenwater nature project (combined water storage area with meandering river) 1 km away. This place is a great base for discovering Groningen and Drenthe.
