New! A sustainable and architect-designed wellness nature lodge with a wood-fired hot tub and Finnish sauna on its own terrace. The atmosphere and look exude nature, not only because of the fantastic location, but also the character of the lodge in combination with the sustainable wellness elements that you can actively enjoy. The practical and comfortable design with four bedrooms makes the family lodge a cozy eight-person family accommodation, but also very suitable for two people in a midweek for example. There is a lovely spacious bathroom with shower and double sink and separate toilet in the hall. The managers ensure that you lack nothing, with the possibility of having the hot tub pre-heated on request. The luxury check-in/out includes a sheet and towel set, kitchen linen, service set with sauna fragrance, bed making, the last dishes before departure will be cleared out for you. Surcharge children up to 3 years will be paid on location.
Nature and surroundings
The family lodge is located on the originally farming ribbon village of Wapserveen in Southwest Drenthe. The 7.5 hectare site is separated in the middle by a forest. Behind this forest are five nature lodges, including this family lodge overlooking the Natura 2000 area Holtingerveld. From our own grounds you can walk straight into this beautiful nature reserve, which is managed by Natuurmonumenten and Staatsbosbeheer. In addition, the region has three national parks: the Drents-Friese Wold between Appelscha and Diever, the Dwingelderveld near Dwingeloo and the wetlands of Weerribben-Wieden between Ossenzijl and Giethoorn. Besides nature, there is also much to discover culturally in Southwest Drenthe and a wealth of typical Drenthe heritage to admire.
