Our detached vacation home - built in 1883 (!) - is located right in the middle of the island. At an altitude of 758m at the foot of Monte d'Oro (2389m) - directly on the GR 20 hiking trail on the edge of the Parc Naturell. The thick natural stone walls ensure a cool, pleasant indoor climate in summer; in the other seasons, the house is heated by a closed fireplace and a rustic Danish wood-burning stove. At the front of the property is the Casa with a 20 square meter terrace, the guest room annex and green areas to linger. At the back of the very large property is our summer chalet with garage and a tiny house. The ambience of an ecologically renovated (solar system WW), modernized and historic natural stone house offers you absolute peace, relaxation and recreation. Equipment of the rooms, see photos. Please note: The bedroom door upstairs is 1.60 high, access to the guest room is via the covered terrace. Final cleaning is paid directly on site.

The oldest Laricio pines in Corsica grow here, the region/forest and the maquis are the "green lungs" of the island. A bird expert counted over 50 species here, including the great kite royale! Every season has its own charms: the Mediterranean climate is pleasant, the winter is usually mild and sunny; in summer the trees (chestnuts) provide the much sought-after shade. Small and large excursions/hikes: Vizzavona, the Cascade Anglais, Manganello valley with super bathing pools and refuges: Onda and the Pietra Piana , Restonica valley, Aleria east coast. Or take the train to Corte via the Eiffel Bridge, to Ajaccio or Bastia/Calvi to the sea. Guided horse riding excursions are available on request. In the village 3 (!) restaurants with Corsican dishes at reasonable prices. Regional products such as Corsican cheese, coppa, lonzo and ham come directly from our neighbors. Children are welcome and have plenty of space to play in nature and with animals. Free parking in front of the house.
