Located in the village of Nieuw-Balinge between Hoogeveen and Westerbork stands this unique plaggenhut, a piece of nostalgia where you can enjoy a vacation or a few days away with lots of comfort. This nature house is equipped with floor heating, a box bed (180x210), a sleeping loft (for 2 children), a nice bathroom, a living room and a kitchen (with refrigerator, microwave, sandwich maker, Senseo and kettle). Surrounded by a landscaped garden where you can enjoy the terrace and unwind.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house is located on the beautiful Drenthe Highlands in the heart of Drenthe. With beautiful natural areas nearby, such as the Mantingerzand, Plan Goudplevier, Boswachterij Gees, the pingoruïne the Mekelermeer, and national park the Dwingelderveld. If you walk out of the street you are in the middle of the nature reserve Mantingerveld, which is in keeping with the history of this nature house. You can enjoy hiking and cycling here. Want to go out for the day? You are close to Wildlands Adventure Zoo, the Drents Museum, the Hunebedcentrum or Kamp Westerbork. The museum village of Orvelte will take you back in time. You can store in Westerbork, Beilen and Hoogeveen. Play golf at the Martensplek golf course. You can get a cup of coffee with homemade apple pie at 'Bi'j Oons' in the village. Also nice is an ice cream at Talenti in Gees, a delicious meal at the Voscheheugte in Mantinge or at Pizzeria Restorante Trivio Del Villagio in Meppen.
