Cozy bungalow on a very quiet, small recreation park in the Drenthe village of Wateren in the middle of National Park Drents-Friese-Wold. The bungalow is like all other bungalows on the park situated on a large piece of private land (almost 1400 m2) and therefore has a lot of privacy. The nature house consists of a living room with adjoining kitchen, two large bedrooms with respectively one double and two single beds (bunk beds) and a small room containing a child/baby crib (up to 3 years). There are two toilets and a bathroom, all linen (towels, tea towels and bedding) is provided. Also installed are a dishwasher, high-speed Wi-Fi and a TV.
Nature and surroundings
The bungalow is located in the middle of the Drents-Friese Wold National Park, a more than 6,000 hectare nature reserve consisting of alternating coniferous and deciduous forest, with small and larger pools interspersed with heathland, and drifting dunes (the Aekingerzand). Mammal species that occur (again/now) in the area are roe deer, badger, marten, hares, rabbits and recently the wolf. The wheatear is exemplary for the Aekingerzand and cranes breed on the vast moors. In short, a vast nature reserve where an enthusiast will feel at home.
