Our beautiful farm is located on the edge of the National Park The Dwingelderveld. The farm was built around 1614 and is therefore one of the oldest farms in Drenthe. Various elements remind of the old function as living and working accommodation for people and livestock. The old trusses are still visible in various places in the building. The garden, yard and lands of Hoeve den Anholt have a total area of three hectares. Everything is available for a wonderful vacation. There is a hot tub in the garden of this nature house, there are two wood stoves, one of the wood stoves has an oven function and is in the kitchen next to the large Boretti stove. In the kitchen there is professional equipment such as a Kitchenaid blender, a Magimix food processor, hand blender, good knives etc. Our service includes made beds, luxury towels and kitchen linen. Children under the age of twelve are not allowed.
Nature and surroundings
The sign " National Park Dwingelderveld" is in front of the farm. Directly from our yard you walk through a dirt road into nature. The Dwingelderveld is the largest wet moorland of Europe. The most beautiful is the openness, the peace and quiet and the space. This nature house is located on the quiet side of the Dwingelderveld. You can walk for hours without encountering anyone. Here you can spot wildlife such as deer, hares and foxes. For the bird watcher the area is a walhalla. You can spot the sparrow hawk, goshawk, tree falcon, kestrel and common stonechat. In the winter season, the hen harrier, merlin (lesser falcon), peregrine falcon and rough legged buzzard can also be regularly seen in the area. And of course: the crane!
