Find peace and quiet in the heart of Drenthe. The nature house is a former school building, located between 2 villages in Drenthe. The tastefully decorated and spacious living quarters offer enough space for a family or a group of friends. It is also a nice house for a couple of families together to celebrate vacations. In addition to the living room, there is a play/dining area and a large conservatory. In the cozy living room there is a wood stove and a bar. On the mezzanine in the living room you can watch TV. From all rooms you can reach the private garden through garden doors. On the ground floor is one bedroom, the other bedrooms are on the upper floors. All bedrooms have a sink. Downstairs there is a (small) sauna, with showers. On the second floor is a bathroom with 3 separate showers, sink and toilet.We do not receive groups under 25 years.

Opposite the nature house is the Hijkerveld nature reserve. From the house you can walk straight into the forest and a 15-minute walk away you will find this accommodation and a vast heathland. Besides this nature reserve there are numerous other nature reserves nearby. You can enjoy hiking, cycling and rollerblading from the house. 2 kilometers away is the village Hooghalen, here are a supermarket, bakery (with delicious ice cream) and a snack bar. Assen is 10 minutes away and Groningen is 30 minutes by car. When the house is rented for a weekend, the check-out time on Sunday is 17.00 at the latest (this is different from the standard check-out time mentioned).
