In the National Park Dwingelderveld lies this detached cottage. The cottage stands in the yard of a Drenthe farm. Both bedrooms have a small en suite bathroom with shower. The living room has a gas fireplace for extra atmosphere. The terrace at the cottage overlooks the woods and heaths of the Dwingelderveld. If you rent the cottage there are bicycles available for you for €6 per day. The National Park Dwingelderveld and its surroundings are ideal for beautiful walking and cycling tours. Dwingelderveld is a unique nature reserve, it is the largest contiguous wet heath area in Western Europe and you will see heaths with pools, fens, woods and shifting sands. The heathland is even managed by two flocks of sheep, each with a shepherd. You can also view dolmens in the immediate area and in Borger you will even find a museum. A day trip to Giethoorn is also one of the possibilities. If you go on vacation with children then a visit to Emmen Zoo is highly recommended. A central location with many possibilities for excursions. At 20 meters away is a Bistro where you can eat in the weekends. Please reserve in advance. This house is unique in the national park with unobstructed views of the countryside, nearby cows, bunnies, storks and many other animals you can see from the terrace. The nearest airport is 90 km.
