On the grounds you will find the farmhouse, the detached nature house, the vegetable garden and the orchard. And of course the campfire place where especially in the evening you can enjoy the crackling fire. Our yard is also home to our cat and dogs, you're bound to run into them. Be surprised by the many birds in the garden. Hang your hammock and enjoy the ultimate doing nothing. The nature house itself is simple and cozy. And you will sleep like a baby here, we assure you! You can also be completely self-sufficient. In the adjoining Bakhuis there is a 2-burner electric stove and cooking utensils for a simple meal. Of course a refrigerator and the possibility of making coffee and tea.
Nature and surroundings
Despite the relatively small area of Drenthe, there is a clear difference in types of landscapes. The middle of the province, the "old Drenthe," is characterized by brink villages, heathlands and stream valleys where sheep herds can still be regularly seen. The lower parts of the province were formed by peat bogs, which were reclaimed for peat extraction until the middle of the last century. Animals that feel at home on the Drenthe moors include the grass snake, peat butterfly, salamander, hawk, Scottish highlander and roe deer. In Drenthe you will find mostly small, cozy (village green) villages. The largest and most notable cities in the province are Assen, Emmen, Hoogeveen and Meppel. With no less than three National Parks, the province of Drenthe is bursting with natural beauty. There is therefore plenty to discover and see.
