With numerous hiking and biking opportunities in the area, this nature house is ideal for active peace seekers. The house is also the perfect base for exploring the beautiful region in addition to nature. In the immediate vicinity of this nature house are three more beautiful villages: Dwingeloo (most beautiful village green Drenthe), Diever (gateway Drents-Friese Wold) and Havelte (2 dolmens). In all these places and in Ruinen itself are numerous stores and restaurants. The village of Ruinen is located in southwest Drenthe. In nearby Meppel is the nearest NS railway station.
